Ernest's Newborn Photoshoot; Washington County Newborn Photography
One of the things that I enjoy a lot about my job is getting to hear the birth stories of these sweet babies that I'm photographing. But in the 15 years that I've been doing this and out of the many hundreds of newborns that I've photographed, I have never heard a story quite like this one!
See, it was still a few weeks before Ernest's due date and his mom was going about her early morning getting herself and his 2 older sisters ready for the day. Imagine her surprise when she went into the basement and 20 minutes later Ernest was born down there! She delivered him BY HERSELF while the rest of her family was upstairs getting ready and didn't hear her calling them. And little Ernest cried right away, totally healthy! Moms are so strong and brave! And then, in true third child fashion, they still managed to get his sister on the bus for school before getting the ambulance to the hospital.
Ernest, it was a joy to photograph you and spend the morning with you and your brave mama!
